About the OpportunityAs a key leadership role within the organisation, the Auckland Operations Manager role will see you provide leadership and direction to coordinate the activities of the factories, ensuring effective planning, optimum operation, and customer satisfaction. Key to this role is your ability to ensure the health and safety of your team. At a strategic level, you will support the National Manufacturing Manager to deliver significant growth and profitability for Steel & Tube. Who we are looking for:Our ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:At least 10 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment.At least 5 years managerial experience.Demonstrated understanding of operating principles in a production environment.Demonstrated understanding of our industry’s quality, health, and safety requirements.Proven experience in process improvement including Theory of Constraints.Proven experience in Lean production processes and tools.Budgeting, planning and forecasting experience.Strong people management skills.Highly developed problem solving and logical thinking skills.
