With a national network of branches and distribution centres, Steel & Tube engages in markets and projects across infrastructure, construction (commercial and residential), heavy and light engineering, energy, manufacturing, viticulture and rural sectors.We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to work with an existing client base and product lines, who has the vision and ability to successfully grow and manage that base, and sell additional product lines under the Steel & Tube umbrella to increase our market share. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Deliver superior face-to-face interactions with our customers to understand their needs, barriers and challenges their business facesGrow opportunities to promote the range of Steel & Tube products purchased by our customersUndertake all sales and lead follow up in a timely mannerAddress customer concerns quickly and appropriately and overcome perceived or real difficulties in the customer relationshipDevelop and maintain a high level of product knowledgeComply with all health and safety targets in line with corporate objectives and legislative requirements Experience and skillset requirements:Proven successful sales experience in the steel and/or construction industryDemonstrated skill in achieving sales targets, customer retention and growthGood level of sales and profitable growth budgeting, planning and forecasting experienceSound skills in influencing and building long-lasting relationshipsA wide range of communication skills to inform, listen, include, and engage with a broad range of stakeholders and customersCommercially oriented – able to demonstrate good financial and commercial awareness including industry and market trendsSelf-awareness and a high level of integrity and standardsSteel & Tube is committed to attracting, developing and retaining talented team members with different backgrounds, perspectives, and strengths.
