Exciting Opportunity in Auckland & Christchurch for a Steel Composite Flooring Installation Leader!
Join our dynamic team at Steel & Tube's Composite Floor Decks (CFDL) division in either Auckland or Christchurch. We're seeking experienced individuals to lead a team of fixers and installers across multiple projects. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll collaborate closely with various stakeholders. If you have a demonstrated history of leadership, guidance, and delivering high-quality projects, this role is for you!
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Promote a safe working environment in line with policies.
- Supervise installation of Safety Netting, Metal Decking, and Stud Welding.
- Ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Coordinate with other trades and manage workflow.
- Conduct final inspections and manage documentation.
Foster teamwork and identify productivity opportunities.
To be a success in this role we require:
- Minimum 3 years of practical steel installing experience.
- Strong decision-making skills and proactive communication.
- Ability to adhere to site safety requirements and project scope.
- Competency in working at heights, steel welding, and metal deck laying.
- Experience as a positive team member and flexibility for nationwide projects.
- Awareness of Health & Safety procedures specific to each site.
This role involves travel, both locally and regionally. While the base location is either Auckland or Christchurch, frequent travel to other regions will be required to accommodate and deliver projects. Compensation will be provided for business expenses and accommodation outside of the base region.
