This role is responsible for managing the external sales function and its people to leverage Steel & Tube’s product range in the market.This is a key leadership role that requires a collaborative Manager who has a strong sales presence preferably in the roofing or construction space. With sound relationship-building skills - you’ll know how to get the best out of people and enjoy seeing others flourish.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead, manage and focus the external sales function and teams to achieve optimum efficiency, productivity and maximisation of profitDirect management of key accounts, new business development, networking and lead generationManage and provide coaching and support to Account Managers giving direction, focussing on strategy and driving our sales planReporting and tracking of margin and profitable growth, budgeting, planning and forecastingEnsure regional sales teams comply with all health and safety targets in line with corporate objectives and legislative requirements Experience and skillset requirements:Demonstrated skill and breadth of experience to successfully lead and manage sales teams, preferably in the roofing or construction spaceBe an influencer, a coach and facilitatorSound sales and profitable growth budgeting, planning and forecasting experienceExcellent communication skills verbal and writtenCommercially oriented – able to demonstrate good financial and commercial awareness including industry and market trendsSelf-awareness and a high level of integrity and standardsA logical thinker with highly developed problem-solving skills & attention to detailSteel & Tube is committed to attracting, developing and retaining talented team members with different backgrounds, perspectives, and strengths.
